The UK loves its gameshows, and with revamps popping up all over the shop, our obsession with watching people hit the jackpot knows no end.

And with so many of these beloved programmes on offer, new data has now revealed Brits’ favourite ever gameshow and host, with The Chase taking home both the prizes.

A recent survey conducted in conjunction with Spin Genie’s AR Treasure Quest launch, confirms The Chase is the UK’s favourite gameshow, with 22% of survey respondents choosing this option.

And its beloved presenter Bradley Walsh has been confirmed as Brits’ favourite gameshow host, with nearly a quarter of respondents picking the presenter (24%).

Other gameshows making the top spots include another ITV hit, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (15%), The Crystal Maze (11%), while Tipping Point, University Challenge and Pointless are tied in third place (7%).

Hit 90s and early 2000s Fort Boyard comes in bottom spot of the nation’s favourite classic TV gameshows,

Jeremy Clarkson also comes in second place as the nation’s favourite gameshow host, just behind his fellow ITV star, with 11% of the vote.

Meanwhile, Pointless host Alexander Armstrong and Tipping Point’s Ben Shephard are tied in third place (6%).

Amol Rajan is at the bottom of the list, with just 2% of survey respondents selecting him as their favourite host.

However, 16% of Brits admit they didn’t favour any of the 10 classic gameshows available to pick from, while another 20% failed to give an option for their favourite host.
