DJ Cat performs in a setting with a dazzling light display to go along with the hits. One minor distinction between it and its predecessor that could affect a session is that Push Gaming has replaced the one multiplier metre used in DJ Fox with five multiplier metres, one for each of the five rows of the gaming grid. On the game grid, there are four spaces for active symbols or duds to land in each row. Every spin begins in the regular/default mode with the bottom row active and the other rows inert.
The Arrow symbol is eliminated from the reels and the next row becomes active when it appears on an active reel. Any Arrow symbols on a newly activated row advance to activate the following row. In addition, a respin is given. Neither the top row nor the activated rows are where arrows land.
On their active row, regular symbols land and display numerical values, assessed from left to right. The useless barrier is the dud sign. Players win 0.2 times their stake if a 2, dud, dud, 0 lands on an active row. The payout is double the bet if a 2, 0, dud, dud occurs on an active row. If a 2, dud 5, or dud hits, players will win 0.2x plus 0.5x, or 0.7x the stake.
The multiplier metre for that row collects any VIP or Double VIP symbols that land on an active reel before removing them from the row. A respin is given out when a VIP or Double VIP symbol is gathered. All dud locations respin while all number symbols remain in their original positions during respins. All active rows are assessed for victories after the conclusion of the respins. Each line win is multiplied by the amount indicated on the associated multiplier metre after a spin.
A VIP symbol needs to be gathered in the corresponding row to receive one of the win multipliers.
